|These 18 ready-to-print sets can be used to follow the story lines of the
popular books and folk tales listed below. The download has 63 pages of images
and comes from the same CD that I use to make my felt and magnetic storytelling
sets. The images are from scans of characters, figures, and props of my
hand-made, detailed felt sets. The images are brightly colored with easy-to-see
features that capture the student's attention.
The PDF (Acrobat Reader) formatted download makes it easy to find the story
sets and pages that you want to print. Each tale/story has its own suggested
separate pages of images. On average there are about 3 pages per story. Print
the pages for a story on white paper, laminate the pages for durability,
bond(spray adhesive) with soft felt, and then use scissors to cut out the pieces for
your new storytelling set. It's that easy! Another quick way to make your story
sets is to use iron-on T-shirt transfers. Print a story set on transfer paper, iron the
transfer on to a piece of felt, then cut the story pieces out.
The characters/figures also can be used in a host of other ways including bulletin
boards, wall displays, literacy bags, classification activities, and identification
games. However you choose to use the storytelling sets, you'll find that children
love the large, expressive pieces and bright colors!
